Summer of 2006

This summer was a freebie. We were supposed to be going to China in May, which meant that we were supposed to spend the summer in the throes of new parenthood. The best laid plans went out the window and instead we were given a bonus summer during which Shawn was able to play competitive ultimate, Alison could finish another draft on her novel, we could support our friends having babies and also take a bit of vacationing time for ourselves.

Now the summer's over, and we excitedly prepare ourselves for travelling to China this winter to adopt a little girl. Current rumours peg us travelling in the New Year.
