August 26, 2007Recent EventsWe were pleased this week to welcome the newest member of our family, Christian Paul, born to my younger brother Colin and his wife Amy in Burlington. Both Christian and his parents are doing well, and we look forward to meeting the little guy sometime in the near future. Won't Lia will be disappointed to learn she isn't the baby of the family any longer! In other news, Alison came down with rubella-like symptoms this week in reaction to an immunization shot she got recently. Poor girl developed a fever over the weekend, and then broke out in itchy spots all over. It was an unpleasant flashback to a bout of chicken pox she suffered in high school, and she spent most of the week consoling herself with oatmeal baths and Lord of the Rings movies. The worst seems to be over, and the doctor assured her there's no worry about contagion. And finally, I've returned to work after six months of paternity leave, and Alison is now caring for Lia full-time for the forseeable future. While it's been great to get back to my work and my co-workers at SRDC, it's been a bit of an adjustment, to say the least, to return to the old 9 to 5. I miss
