Terrific Two

I wish I had a lengthy post filled with videos, photos, and anecdotes of our wonderful daughter. Alas, life being what it is, this will be short and sweet to get it in under the wire on Lia's birthday.

"The days are long, but the years are short." Ain't that the truth. Can you believe our little girl is already celebrating her second birthday?

Festivities started on the weekend with a visit from Oma and Opa. Lia had her favourite strawberries with a candle to blow out. Last night we had dim sum at Mandarin Ogilvie with the godfamily, Mark, Marna, and Eleni. Today Lia opened more presents from aunts and uncles, and heartily enjoyed her pizza dinner. Mommy went crazy with the camcorder, capturing a day in the life of two-year-old Lia. On Friday, Grandma and Grandpa will arrive, and then it's more family visits next week when we travel to Windsor and Grand Rapids.

Okay, here are some of the new phrases that Lia has come out with in the past few weeks. Her language has exploded lately:

- buh-buh baf! (bubble bath)
- ah fish-ish (all finished)
- Daddy toffee (coffee, which she helps Mommy make every morning, by pouring the ground coffee in the Bodum)
- blue cup, blue bowl (blue is the only colour she recognizes consistently, so that must make it her favourite, right?)
- top on! (she wants to put the top back on everything, including the cream container and her sippee cup)

There's so much more, but I'll have to save it for later. Happy birthday, Lia Na-Fei!
